Michael E. Copas is a nationally known sculptor with original works in numerous private and public collections. Millions of people world wide have seen the wood sculptures he created for the movie "The Dollmaker" starring Jane Fonda. Mr. Copas maintains studios in Naples, Florida and Gatlinburg, Tenn.

The Keepers of the Forest series created by Michael Copas in 1995 began with a special edition of the GROUNDSKEEPER, a life size depiction of a chipmunk in its natural Smoky Mountain setting. The special edition of 150 pieces was produced for the Charter Members of "Friends of the Smoky's", a grass roots support group for the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee and North Carolina.

Each skillfully cast full color collectors piece is signed and numbered by the artist, with only 2500 of each piece in the series being cast before the molds are destroyed. Several stages of staining and the meticulous hand painting of each individual piece assures that the sculpture reflects the true colors and lighting found in the habitat of each of the creatures depicted in their particular habitat.

Boomer
	The Boomer is a high altitude dwelling ball of feist. When driven to lower land in search of food this little creature will drive the gray squirrels from the territory with extremely loud and aggressive sounding chatter.
