Most American cigarettes are not made out of natural leaf tobacco, but are made rather
from reconstituted tobacco sheet which contains hundreds of added chemicals intended
to control the combustion rate, the moisture level, the flavor, amounts and kinds of
tars produced. Reconstituted sheet can be made from tobacco products and waste,
along with other paper like filler material, and a multitude of other additives.
There are 599 chemicals, Generally Regarded As Safe, known as the G.R.A.S list, that have been certified for use as ingredients in the
production of American cigarettes by the United States Government, and guess what?
They forgot to tell you!
